3.1. Article 1 has implemented the following safeguards to protect data privacy: 

  • Maintain the confidentiality of Covered PII and exclusively employ it for legitimate educational objectives.

  • Minimize the collection, processing, and transmission of Covered PII, disclosing it solely as necessary and for educational purposes.

  • Employed encryption, firewalls, and password protection to ensure the security of Covered PII.

  • Trained personnel in relevant laws, policies, and industry best practices in data privacy and security.

  • Limited access to Covered PII to authorized individuals essential for the provision of contracted services.

  • Will permanently and securely eliminate Covered PII once its purpose for educational use ceases.

  • Prohibited the sale, use, or disclosure of Covered PII for marketing, advertising, or commercial motives.

4. Breach Notification and Collaboration

4.1. In cases of unauthorized disclosure or breaches involving Covered PII:

  • Article 1 will notify all affected parties of any data breach as soon as possible

  • Article 1 will bear the responsibility for the full cost of parental notifications related to breaches or unauthorized releases attributed to them.

5. Parental Consent and Information

5.1. Article 1 will not disclose Covered PII to any other entity without prior written consent from parents, eligible students, or relevant parties, except as necessary for contractual fulfillment or as permitted by law.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and as required by applicable laws. Once your information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
